Special Issue of the Brazilian Keynesian Review
90 Years of The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money
Call for Papers
In 1936, John Maynard Keynes published The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money, a work that redefined the course of macroeconomics and profoundly transformed the way economists and policymakers understand the functioning of capitalist economies. By placing effective demand, uncertainty, expectations, investment, and money at the center of economic analysis, Keynes ushered in a new paradigm for the study of employment, economic fluctuations, and the role of public policy in promoting stability and development.
Ninety years after its publication, the General Theory remains an indispensable reference for understanding contemporary economic challenges. The Brazilian Keynesian Review (BKR), the scientific journal of the Brazilian Keynesian Association (AKB), invites researchers to submit articles for a special issue commemorating the 90th anniversary of the work. The journal aims to disseminate theoretical and empirical studies related to Keynesian economics, welcoming contributions that engage with the Keynesian tradition and its contemporary developments. Theoretical, empirical, or applied economics articles that establish a clear and substantive connection with the concepts, arguments, methods, or analytical developments presented in *The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money* will be considered for this special issue.
Submission deadline: August 31, 2026
