XVII Conference – Brazilian Keynesian Association

The XVII AKB Conference will take place at UFAL, in Maceió, from September 16 to 20, 2024.

This year, the theme of the Conference, “Rebuilding Citizenships: Institutions, Inequality, and Development,” aims to draw attention to the need to think about ways and strategies aimed at strengthening institutions and reducing national disparities, whether economic, social, gender, or race-related. The objective of the XVII AKB Conference is to promote debates on the possibilities of effectively addressing inequalities in Brazil, including comprehensive public policies and long-term measures that address underlying causes and promote social and economic inclusion, as well as necessary investments in education, health, infrastructure, and income transfer programs. Reducing inequalities also involves efforts to combat discrimination and promote equal opportunities for all Brazilian citizens.
